Hostilities and limited conflict started in parts of Western Tigray / Welkite in late January.

In early February Flights were temporarily suspended to all Tigray airports and federal forces made several air strikes.

Tigray forces then pulled out of the areas they occupied in the west, flights resumed, however there was increasing tension in southern Tigray, particularly on the border with Afar.

Although it is unclear whether there will be further hostilities, tensions have increased again.

Currently flights are reduced in number, and potentially not available at all.

At this time travel to Tigray is not recommended.
